Magic Pulpo Studio · 2026
A verdict families can trust, from a company that sells nothing behind it.
A studio venture: an independent verdict for youth football. Accredited academy analysts from different footballing cultures score a player’s real match footage against one template, and in 72 hours the family learns which level suits the player now and whether they are trial-ready. Brand, product design and the web app are built; launch is targeted for November 2026.

The challenge
Youth football runs on trust nobody has earned: unregulated agents, upfront trial fees and no objective evaluation anywhere in the chain. Families spend £3,000 to £5,000 sending a child to a trial that was never realistic, because nobody told them the truth first.
A FIFA analyst, a coach and a product manager kept seeing the same thing. We built ScoutVerdict to give families that answer first.
The approach
Three accredited analysts from different leagues score the player’s own footage, three full halves from a win, a draw and a loss, against one template: four pillars scored against the player’s age phase, a panel-median consensus and senior review of any outlier. The family gets the written verdict within 72 hours, for £540. A player who reaches the benchmark gets a verified passport the family takes to whichever clubs they choose.
The studio locked the identity (night ground, ivory type, flat gold, and imagery that is match footage, never illustration), designed every product surface, then built the marketing site, the order funnel, the sample report and all three portals, running on Postgres end to end. The scoring template was rebuilt with an academy analyst and now runs in the product.

Send the footage
Links to match video the family already has on Veo, Hudl or YouTube: three full halves, from a win, a draw and a loss.
- 02
Analysts score the player
Three academy analysts from different leagues score separately, against what is expected at that age.

The family gets the report
Within 72 hours: the level the player suits now, the football markets they fit, and whether they are ready for a trial.
The line we drew
We first planned to sell trial places to players who cleared the bar. We dropped it, because a company that sells the trial cannot also give a neutral verdict. ScoutVerdict sells the verdict and nothing behind it: no tryouts, no introductions and no cut of a signing.
The work

The results
The web app runs end to end, with sign-in working in production, and the scoring template written with an academy analyst is in the product. The next step is the first pilot audits with the analyst panel, then payments, email and the domain for a mid-November launch. One order is modelled at £540, with £240 going to the three analysts. There is no revenue yet, so none is claimed.
