Berlitz Canada · 2026
A season of language classes drawn by an illustrator, priced by a calculator in the page.
A Berlitz Canada season built with illustrator Tilo: its own visual world, a price calculator inside the page, and 542 enrolments from 1,850 leads.

The challenge
A rate card is a hard thing to make warm. Berlitz Canada wanted a fall season that did not open with a discount badge and a countdown, and the corporate blue had nothing gentle in it.
The other problem was the price itself. Language course pricing depends on programme, length and level, so most pages hide it behind a consultation, and the visitor leaves rather than book a call to find out.
The approach
We built the season with illustrator Tilo, who draws the hand-lettered headlines and the marginalia, on a paper ground with a coral accent. It reads as a sketchbook rather than a campaign, which is the whole argument: learn French, English or Spanish the gentle way.
The price question is answered in the page. A calculator sits inside the form: pick the programme, see the per-lesson rate against the standard rate, then leave your details. Nothing is paid and nothing is committed, and the advisor confirms level and rate on the call.
Three steps are named on the page so nobody wonders what happens next. Sketch, talk it through, decide.
The work

The results
The season produced 1,850 leads and 542 enrolments, a lead to enrolment rate of 29%. Those are Berlitz Canada's figures.
The calculator is the part worth keeping. Nearly a third of people who left their details went on to pay, on a page that told them the rate before anyone called them, which is the opposite of how language course pricing normally works.
